TitleLetter from Simon to A Schallamach
Date17/12/1946
Description' Thanks for your letter of the 15th December. If you remember I saw quite a lot of Bresler when he was here and gave him advice when going to America. After he went I did not anything of him, although I wrote one or twice - until about two years ago when I got a rather confused postcard telling me that he had lost his position at, I believe, the Shell Oil of California, and some mysterious remarks about an illness. I don't remember that he said anything about an accident and I am afraid that is all I can tell you.

I am glad to hear that you have a satisfactory position and I hoep there may be an opportunity of seeing you sometime. Thank you for your enquiry; we are all very well and so are Mendelssohn and Kurti. The latter by the way married a short time ago.

Kind regards '
