DescriptionThanks for the Lister Memorial Lecture - discusses a suspected case of diphtheria 15 years ago when the infecting organism was identified as pneumococcus not diphtheria bacillus - had wondered if the pneumococcus in vitro inhibited the growth of the diphtheria bacillus and Florey's lecture answered this.
