Herschel is busy correcting first proofs of pages on double stars. Thanks for binding Herschel's star [allineations?]. Pritchard's suggestion [see Pritchard's 1867-3-27] to Herschel's son Alexander, to collect and edit William Herschel's papers, entails too much work for one editor. Herschel dreads thought of such work. Doubts Charles Pritchard's claim that William Herschel observed fixed star in Corona. |
