Description | An account of a legal case of individuals in the employ of Messrs J and R Watson, indigo planters, who used violence, including murder, to terrorise villagers in India, in an attempt to get land for cultivation. The defendents were variously sentenced 'some to transportation others to different terms of imprisonment, according to their respective degrees of guilt'.
