AdminHistoryBushy House has been the home of the NPL since 1900, when the Government allotted it for that purpose. The NPL was under the control of the Royal Society from 1900 until 1918.
ProvenanceSome of Lady Robertson’s inscriptions indicate that these illustrations were intended for Joseph Ernest Petavel (1873-1936), Director of the NPL in the 1930s, who later bequeathed them to the Royal Society.
