| Description | In 2007 the University of Newcastle created an annual lecture in Sir James Baddiley's name, to be regarded as a major event in the biological and bio-molecular sciences.

1. Letter to the Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge [Sir Richard Dearlove] informing him of Baddiley's named lecture at the University of Newcastle and that it may be of interest to the members of Pembroke College to highlight areas in research in cell and molecular biosciences. (2007)
2. Letter to Dr John.P Dougherty of Pembroke College, Cambridge reminding him of Baddiley's named lecture at the University of Newcastle. Sir James gives information about the event of the Inaugural Baddiley Lecture which will be delivered by Professor Sir John Walker.
