TitleEarly scientific correspondence with John Frederick Nye
DescriptionLetters to John Nye from various correspondents, with some carbon copies of Nye's replies, mainly from the earlier period of Nye's career, in particular covering the period when he was in the United States at Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1952. Most of the correspondence relates to Nye's work on glaciers, though there is also material relating to his deveopment of the bubble model with Sir Lawrence Bragg.
ArrangementThis series was originally ordered loosely by date and had been kept separate from Nye's scientific working files (see JFN/1 and JFN/2). It has been arranged by correspondent to facilitate access.
