Description | ' Accompanying some Minerals from Chremnitz and Henngrundt, and some Answers to Queries [for which see Letter Book Vol 3 page 304.]
' Sir This morning I sent you a little Box with some Minerals from the Gold Mine at Chremnitz and the Copper Mine at Hernngrundt. They will arrive on Wednesday March 23 at Mr Brisco's at the Sign of the Green Dragon in Bishopsgate, directed to you, Sir. They are sent in Mr Sugget the Elder's Coach, the Coach-man's Name Charles Golty.
In your last, Sir, you were pleased to hint the answering of the rest of your Enquiries : which in the Paper concerning Schemnitz sent the last week and in this I have done as far as I could be informed concerning them. My return was so speedy and in the Winter, that I had not the opportunity of observing many remarkables in Bohemia and Saxony concerning Mines : yet something of Guttenburg in Bohemia and Freiberg in Misnis I shall either communicate unto you by Letter or at my coming to London, which I hope will be suddenly. I am Your most humble Servant Edward Brown. ' |
