Citation | Douglas, James Archibald (Oxford). M.A., D..Sc., F.G.S. Professor of Geology in the University of Oxford. He has made important contributions in geology, palaeontology, and mineralogy, mostly communicated to the Geological Society of London. They institute a notable addition to geological knowledge over a very wide field of study, and were carried out in England, ireland, Peru and Iran. In addition, he has carried on much of the geological teaching iin the Oxford School of Geology for many years. A list of published works is attached. |
