Citation | Evans, Ulrick Richardson (Cambridge). Sc.D (Cantab). Assistant Director fo Research in Metallurgy in the University of Cambridge. The candidate is distiniguished for his work on corrosion of metals. He has published numerous papers on the subject, including a four-volume book on the metals and one on corrosion. The latter has been translated into German, French, and Russian. He is regarded abroad as the leading authority in this country on the subject. He was awarded the Beilby award in 1930, the Cambridge Sc.D. in 1932, and was Armourers' and Braziers' Research Fellow in Metallurgy. His book on corrosion is the standard work on this subject. |
