Distinguished for his researches on the feeding, digestion and assimilation of marine animals, especially Mollusca, but including also Crustacea, Tunicata and Corals. The results are published in a series of papers in 'Journ. Exp. Biol.', ' Journ. Mar. Biol. Assocn.', 'Reports Gt. Barrier Reef Expedn.', and 'Phil. Trans. Roy. Soc.' from 1923 to 1939. The work is summarised in 'Biological Reviews, III. 1928 and XII. 1937. A classified list of papers is appended. |
