Description | Having been in the practice of keeping meteorological records for the past seven years he sent a register for 1834 to the Admiralty. Their response was to say that such a document was no use to them, but that the Royal Society would be glad to have such information. Therefore he forwards a table produced at much expense and trouble, showing mean temperatures and barometrical observations for the past three and a half years. If any more points of information would be useful, he will furnish them, and he asks the Society to specify what type of instruments he might use for additional observations. |
