Description | Daily observations at hourly intervals at Singapore. Readings of the declination magnetometer, bifilar magnetometer uncorrected with its attached thermometer, vertical force magnetometer, uncorrected, and its attached thermometer; uncorrected barometer and its attached thermometer, corrected barometer, dry thermometer and dry thermometer in shade, wet thermometer and wet thermometers in the shade; standard and exposed thermometers. With elasticity of vapour at the temperature of the hygrometer, elasticity of vapour at the temperature of dew point [four observations per day], minimum temperature, solar and terrestrial radiation;elasticity of vapour hygrometer from shade thermometers (at temperature of dew point), with hourly observations of solar radiation and hourly observations of the actimometer. There are also term day observations, commencing at 10.00p.m. on 24 January 1844 and concluding at 9.00p.m. on 25 December [Gottingen mean time], with readings of the magnetometers, barometer, dry and wet thermometers, dry and wet thermometers in shade, direction and force of wind, rainfall [none] and cloud cover with general remarks.
