DescriptionDaily observations at hourly intervals at Singapore. Readings of the declination magnetometer, bifilar magnetometer and vertical force magnetometer; with attached thermometers for the bifilar and vertical force instruments. Uncorrected and corrected barometer and its attached thermometer, dry and wet thermometers exposed and in shade. With elasticities of vapour at the temperature of the hygrometer, elasticities of vapour at the temperature of dew point [four observations per day], minimum temperature, solar and terrestrial radiation, with hourly observations of solar radiation. There are also term day observations, commencing at 10.00p.m. on 19 December and concluding at 9.00p.m. on 20 December [Gottingen mean time], with readings of the magnetometers, barometer, dry and wet thermometers exposed and in shade, wind direction and force, extent of cloudy sky and general remarks.

There are no entries for 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 December..

Each sheet is headed: 'Observatory at Singapore. Abstract of hourly observations....' or 'Abstract of Term-day observations...'. Signed on each page 'C.M. Elliot Lt. Engineers, Supt. Magc. Obsy. Singapore'.
