Description | Daily observations at two hourly intervals at Singapore. Readings of the declination magnetometer, horizontal force magnetometer and its attached thermometer, vertical force magnetometer and its attached thermometer, uncorrected barometer and its attached thermometer, dry and wet thermometers, dry and wet thermometers in the shade, , elasticity of vapour at the temperature of the hygrometer and at the temperature of the dew point [four daily observations each], miminum temperature, solar and terrestrial radiation and Moon's age. With daily standard thermometer and corrected barometer readings. There are additional declination magentometer readings for 12-30 June, ['in shed near Observatory']. There are also term day observations, commencing at 10.00p.m. on 22 June, and concluding at 9.00p.m. on 23 June [Gottingen mean time], with readings of the magnetometers, barometer, wet and dry thermometers and standard thermometer, with wind direction and pressure, rainfall, and general remarks on the weather. A note [p.1] refers to damage to the telescope in use.
