DescriptionGraphical representations of meteorological observations made at Karachi, Pakistan [then India] at the hospital of the 4th, then the 51st Regiments. Two diagrams per sheet. The upper diagram is headed: 'Barometer, and Wind and Rain Diagram from the 9 1/2am [eg 9.30am] observations'. The lower is headed: 'Thermometer and Hygrometer Diagram'. Direction of wind is noted by compass arrows.

Each sheet is headed 'Meteorological Observatory at the Hospital...'. changing from H.M 4th Regiment [January] to 51st Regiment [February onward] at Kurrachee [Karachi].

The author of the sheets is not noted. Variously signed and endorsed including by the Regimental Assistant Surgeons, J. Ekin, H. March Webb, and Vere Webb; also by the Superintending Surgeon C. T. Collier [?]. Typed paper label [p.24]: 'Kurrachee. Barometer, wind & rain, thermometer and hygrometer diagrams. 1858.'.
