DescriptionHourly observations of the horizontal force, vertical force, and declination magnetometers at the Colaba Observatory, arranged by day. The horizontal and declination magnetometers have columns for Gottingen mean time, observation, middle doubled, sum, mean, temperature, observer's initial and general remarks; temperature is also recorded at horizontal magnetometer tables . The vertical force magnetometer readings have columns for Gottingen mean time, Bombay [Mumbai] mean time, observed reading, correction, correct reading, a+a/2, thermometer, observer's initial, and general remarks.

There are additional printed forms bound at the rear of the volume [pp.111-114], for 'term day' observations of each magnetometer commencing at 10.00pm on 22 December, to 9.00pm on 23 December 1841. With brief remarks on the state of the weather.
