Description | Giving thanks for the reminder that his Mackinnon Studentship is expiring. He states that he would like to make an application for an extension, but only received the letter from the Royal Society that morning, due to postal delays in Ireland. He asks if the committee would consider a late application and if so, he could send one by 9 July, when he will have returned to Ireland. He thought that his report was not required until September, since he began his research in October last. On research, he has one paper in the press and one in preparation. He gives Professors Harold Pringle and E.A. Werner, both of Dublin, as referees and notes that Frederick Gowland Hopkins has read his paper and might give a statement on it. Fearon will send a formal report on his work this week. |
