Title | Letter from Thomas Hunt Morgan, Department of Zoology, Columbia University, in the City of New York, to William Bate Hardy, Secretary, the Royal Society, Burlington House, London |
Description | Morgan has received Hardy's air message and letter and he has been trying to work out arrangements. He is anxious to return as soon as possible after the Croonian Lecture. If he waited until 15 June for the conference, he would not be able to get a White Star boat until 21 June. He does not like to suggest having the conference on 8 June and therefore they might let the conference go, allowing him to get a steamer on 14 June, and therefore he will book the Olympic. With regard to microscopes, some arrangement might be made with the Spencer people in London. He is not so concerned with that, rather the suitability of such a demonstration for the occasion, but Bateson will know what arrangements are essential. |
