Description | Broun's discusses his paper on magnet declination presented to the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Discussion on trouble with results from the annual period. Discussion on the range from Makerstoun observations made by Broun, Lloyd and Dr [Johann von] Lamont. Broun will send Lloyd a copy of his paper as soon as permitted. Broun notes the annual range after corrections for [secular] change at Makerstoun for each of the four years. Broun's statement for the annual period differs from Lloyd's, and discusses his error. Broun asks Lloyd if temperature or humidity could have an effect on the results. |
