Description | Lloyd has just received Riddell's two queries in a letter from Major [Edward] Sabine and replies immediately to be in time for the next vessel. Replies regarding experiments of deflection and 'The equations given by Mr Lloyd', by which Lloyd assumes Riddell means those concerning the relative position of three magnets printed in the 'Proceedings of the [Royal Irish] Academy'.
Lloyd asks for details of an experiment which they made together in the observatory to determine the time of vibration of his declination bar. |
