Title | Letter from William Hyde Wollaston to Thomas Young |
Date | nd |
Description | Letter dated 'Saturday evening 21st.'
States that in his endeavours to say that Young was not sufficiently explicit Wollaston was not sufficiently so himself. He knew perfectly what Young meant, but thought that meaning so expressed that it would tend rather to puzzle than instruct he who had not the previous knowledge; but of this such a a person woudl be a better judge than Wollaston. |
