| Description | Describes unsuccessful attempts to find a means of reproducing eclipse photographs for publication. He intends to make drawings from the photographs, including one showing the 'great wings of the outer corona'. Encloses a numbered set of photographs of the eclipse taken at Creston [present]. Thanks Thorpe for the paper on absorption spectra of iodine, but draws his attention to Professor [Edward Charles] Pickering's priority over Professor [George Gabriel] Stokes on the method of determining wavelengths.
