Description | Written from 90, Upper Tulse Hill, S.W. Sends Kempe herewith; 1. Letter from Markham 2. A reply for Kempe's approval, and also of Larmor, if he is at home, but there should not be a delay 3. A letter received from Larmor some time ago. If Kempe appproves of his reply, please to get it copied at the Royal Society and also send with it a copy of his letter which was posted after his talk with Kempe on the 17th. Thinks Kempe will agree with him that it is better not to attempt a joint letter; also to make his reply as short as possible. Asks if it would be too much trouble if Kempe was to draw up, based on their short draft letter, a suitable letter of greeting to Scott. He does not have a copy of this draft with him. He understood Larmor would be back about this time.
