A letter from Francis Mowatt at the Treasury, dated 7 August 1900, was read, concerning the first installment of the Government Grant-in-Aid for the National Antarctic Expedition.

A report from the Executive Committee, including a submission from Captain [Robert Falcon] Scott, was discussed and various amendments to the wording were made.

the question of ownership of the 'Discovery' and insurance was discussed. The Royal Geographical Society Council need to consider the matter further.

A proposal was made for the creation of an 'Antarctic Manual'.
