TitleLetter from J J [Joseph John] Thomson, Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorThomson; Sir Joseph John (1856-1940); British physicist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date3 November 1902
DescriptionSince he wrote to Larmor about a portrait of Lord Rayleigh at Trinity [College], there has been a proposal to paint [Richard Calverhouse] Jebb's portrait. Jebb has had more to do with the College and Thomson thinks that this would mean the College would delay a picture of Rayleigh. It would leave the field open to the Royal Society.
