| Title | Letter from Thos [Thomas] Sinclair, the Reform Club, London, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Sinclair; Thomas (1838-1914) Irish politician |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 8 June 1909 |
| Description | In writing he forgot to thank Larmor for signing the requisition form for the Pro-Vice Chancellorship of Queen's University. Sinclair was unable to allow his name to go forward, as he has too many responsibilities already, also citing his age and fear of friction. Since writing to Shaw he became aware of the scholastic philosophy affair, which seems opposed to the old principles of Q.C.B. [Queen's College Befast] and what he know of its relation to Roman Catholic doctrine 'they might as well endow a theological chair'. He is on his way to Carlsbad but wanted to write before leaving. |
