| Description | They were annoyed at other people using up Larmor's time, preventing them from meeting. Whetham gives thanks for proofs. They have set up the electrolyte conductivity apparatus and have obtained quinine sulphate. He does not think ionization would explain fluorescence, referring to a paper by [George Gabriel] Stokes. Whetham enquired about impurities in quinine sulphate, and received a demonstration of the action of hydrochloric acid. He wishes to get the consent of the Royal Society for the reproduction of photographs published by them. He would use them in a book of recent physical research, and he gives a list of what he needs. |
