| Description | When Larmor told him that it was an invariable rule that Obituary Notices were written by Fellows of the Royal Society, Dewar was convinced that he had not been given the correct information. He could not think of any instance to the contrary, but in looking at the notice for Walter Weldon, Dewar observed the initials of Weldon's old secretary, who had nothing to do with scientific societies. It may be that a new law has been in force since 1890. |
