| Title | Letter from James Dewar, Royal Institution of Great Britain, London, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Dewar; Sir James (1842-1923); British chemist and physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 20 January 1907 |
| Description | Dewar, having had no reply to the question posed in his letter of the 16 January, concludes that Larmor 'deliberately declined my proposals' and is acting in a way that he describes as a 'breach of honour'. He infers that Larmor desires publicity, in spite of Dewar's objections about bringing the matter before Council or a Committee. He thinks that the Society generally should be 'enlightened' so that he may receive adequate condemnation or acquittal. |
