| Title | Letter from R T [Richard Tetley] Glazebrook, the National Physical Laboratory, Bushy House, Teddington, Middlesex, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Glazebrook; Sir Richard Tetley (1854-1935); British physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 14 December 1909 |
| Description | He asks Larmor if it might not be wise to include some allusion to the cost of buildings in his letter to the Treasury. If not, it may cause difficulties later, when they will have to ask for it and it may also strengthen Larmor's case for increased expenditure. He discusses the financial position of the Kew Observatory, and details of Larmor's letter, including the balance of £2,984 handed over by the Royal Society to the National Physical Laboratory. Glazebrook forwards an alternative form of words which he asks Larmor to consider. |
