TitleLetter from A [Andrew] Gray, University College of North Wales, Bangor, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorGray; Andrew (1847-1925); British physicist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date2 December 1896
DescriptionThe selection committee has shortlisted four candidates: G.H. [Geirge Hartley] Bryan, Lawrence Crawford, P.J. Kirkby, and R. [Robert] Lachlan. Gray asks if Larmor knows anything about Crawford, particularly in maintaining discipline as a teacher, which is one of Bryan's apparent weaknesses, but not a serious one. He describes his own contacts with Bryan, thnking that as an Elector for the Chair, there has been some mutual reserve. If Larmor can tell him anythign further, or compare the two, he would be grateful.
