Title | Letter from William Huggins, 90 Upper Tulse Hill, S W [South West] London, to the Secretary [Joseph Larmor] |
Creator | Huggins; Sir William (1824-1910); British astronomer |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 25 October 1909 |
Description | He is glad Larmor thinks positively of the 'get-up' of the book. He notes that copies for review have been sent to the 'Times', but he will not send to 'Nature' or 'Atlas' until he has 'assurance beforehand that the book will be put into the hands of a competent and independent reviewer'. He notes that he will put advertisements in 'Nature' later on. He encourages Larmor for his upcoming Bakerian Lecture. He ends with his opinion on the colour of the edges of the book, such as wishing the custom of yellow or red edges to be revived. |
