Date | 20 December 1909 |
Description | The enclosed letter from the RAS [Royal Astronomical Society] shows that the reprinting of W H [William Herschel]'s papers will be a more serious and costly affair than he excepted. He also discusses the large size of the pages. He has asked [Samuel Arthur] Saunder not to do anything until he has heard from Huggins again regarding this matter, and requests that Larmor give it some thought. Huggins states he will not undertake to do any editing. He also notes the high cost of the printing. He ends with the response of 'Poor [Archibald] Geikie!' regarding the 'Times' that day. |
