TitleLetter from A B [Alfred Bray] Kempe, 22 Pembridge Square, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorKempe; Sir Alfred Bray (1849-1922); British lawyer and mathematician
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date29 July 1917 [?]
DescriptionHe is sorry that Larmor missed the Finance Committee. They decided to give £1,100 from the Donation Fund to the Catalogue [of Scientific Papers], to pay [Robert] Harrison and some bills. He discusses the health of the general account, which they may draw upon. They also decided to draw on the Duke of Norfolk's mortgage, explaining the calculations involved. They can borrow from their bankers if necessary, if it takes six months to get the £12,000 in. He remains uncertain of the full demands of the Catalogue, which may not exceed £4,000. He is about to leave London for six weeks, but expects to make visits back.
