| Description | Lamb hopes that Larmor has received the proof of sheet 1 [of Hydrodynamics], which he has had himself, and he will send it back when he hears from Larmor. He has left out all methods belonging to 'Gastheorie' and other useless elements. Larmor should not trouble to alter 'd's' and Lamb records a few other corrections and errors. He notes a short meeting of the London Matriculation Examiners the day before: the papers 'were shamefully easy and plucked very few'. In a postscript he changes his mind and will send his proofs to press that night, for corrections before receiving Larmor's further criticisms. |
