DescriptionHe regrets that he has an engagement to return immediately to Scotland, from where he was summoned to attend the Bath ceremony at Windsor. He would have been happy to pay his respects to Mr and Mrs Hatchett, hoping that she is restored to health. He has had a cheerful letter from Mr Rackett, who has been enjoying excursions with Mr and Mrs Solly, including 'to witness some recently discovered ichthyological remains at Lyme [Regis]', and to the Isle of Wight. Rackett speaks of returning to London.
