| Description | Correspondence and papers on the formation and work of the consortium established in 1971 to study lunar sample 14267 collected during the Apollo 14 mission. Stapled into the front of the folder is a list of members and their institutions, with J. Geiss of the University of Berne crossed out. Colin Pillinger mentions in his letter to Dr Mike Duke at NASA that when the sample is cut at Cambridge they intend to create a videotape recording of the procedure, as well as take photos. A letter from Dr Geoffrey Eglinton to the Science Research Council asks for the funding of Colin Pillinger's post to continue beyond the end of 1971, as "without his expert participation and continued innovation we would rapidly lose the high regard evident in our approval for three years." Also includes a copy of the NASA guidelines for consortia and copies of papers to be submitted to Nature and Science.
