A NASA newsletter 14 July 1971 mentions the exchange of Apollo lunar sample material with the Soviet Union in return for material collected during the Russian Luna 16 mission, and a letter from Michael B Duke at NASA 16 November 1971 to Principle Investigators discusses an exchange of scientists studying lunar samples between the USSR and USA. Includes blank sample return forms.
