Title | Letter from Ernst Mach, Prague, to Charles Vernon Boys |
Creator | Mach; Ernst Waldfried Josef Wenzel (1838-1916); Czech [Moravian] physicist |
Recipient | Boys; Sir Charles Vernon (1855-1944); British physicist and inventor |
Date | 5 July 1892 |
Description | Sends Boys some photographs of projectiles with atmospheric disturbances and some papers on the subject. His method of regulating the instantaneous illumination is more powerful than Boys thinks. He had made imperfect photographs, similar to Boys's own, in 1884. He thinks a mere silhouette is incapable of representing the wonderful detail of the disurbances. |
