DescriptionTwo Kawésqar [Alacaluf] canoes in the shore by Puerto Edén, both boats have been created from dugout trunks of Nothofagus nitida trees, supported by additional planks. The boat on the left is wider and has a large number of planks attached to its exterior, while the boat on the right is primarily a dugout trunk with a small number of planks used just to raise its sides.
