Description | View of two steamer ducks swimming across the Angostura Inglesa (English Narrows) at Puerto Edén, the duck on the left has darker plumage with the duck on the right much lighter. Forested areas and steep hills can be seen on the opposing shore. Steamer ducks are native to the southern part of South America and are named after paddle steamer boats as the way they paddle using their wings and feet resembles the motion of a paddle wheel. |
