DescriptionView of the limestone quarry on Isla Guarello, made by opening a large pit in the top of one of the hills. Three figures can be seen in the image, two with yellow hardhats are visible in the centre of the image, setting lengths of rope or cable over the surface of the rock. Another figure can be seen towards the left edge of the image, carrying a large object. The expedition party descended into the quarry in an open cage lowered by a winch, as part of a tour of the mining operations.
