Title | Letter from Basil Hall, 128 George Street, Edinburgh, to [Henry] Kater |
Creator | Hall; Basil (1788-1844); British naval officer and author |
Date | 1 April 1824 |
Description | He sends 'Mister Ted' [Edward Kater?] his book. If it is damned, then part of it will fall on Henry Kater's head, in urging him to print. He asks for Kater's honest opinion on the work, together with that of Mrs Kater, Agnes and Edward. He does not feel anxious about it but hopes not to be 'cut up in the Quarterly & other periodicals'. He concludes by sending his good wishes to the family. |
