OtherInfo | Chetwynd assisted Robert Plot (FRS 1677) in the production of his 'Natural History of Staffordshire'. Chetwynd himself also worked on a short survey of Staffordshire in 1679 and later went on to collecting material. His collections were kept at Ingestre Hall until it was destroyed by a fire in 1882. He was not particularly active in the Royal Society's work after his election. |
