| Title | Copy letter from an unknown correspondent, to The Woodbury Company (Messrs Eyre & Spottiswoode) |
| Date | 9 October 1894 |
| Description | The correspondent returns herewith the proof of Professor [Jospeh Norman] Lockyer's plate together with the original [not attached]. The author says that so many of the lines in the spectrum bands are lost that he cannot pass the plate. Asks if any improvement could be obtained by a fresh print or whether a new negative is required. If the latter Rix wonders if the Messrs have any hope of a better result and what the cost would be. |
