Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Crookes, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 26 January 1895 |
Description | Rix acknowledges receipt of Cooke's copy complementing the paper for Thursday. They shall be able to get this out on along with Lord Rayleigh's [John William Strutt] paper on Monday. Rix returns herewith Mr Hill's letter [not attached].
The reporters table at the London University is a fixed institution. If Crookes' staff require an exceptional position the only way would be for them to go as Crookes' visitors and get there early. The central position of the first three rows is reserved for the three councils of the Royal, Chemical and Physical Societies. No tickets will be printed and it will be sufficient for reporters to state what papers they represent.
In a handwritten postscript Rix notes he will see if any improvement can be made in the accommodation for reporters when he visits. |
