Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society] |
Date | 24 January 1896 |
Description | 'Dear Sir, Prof. S.P. [Professor Silvanus Phillips] Thomspon was not at the Chemical Society last night as I hoped, but I saw Prof. [Professor William] Ramsay and he assures me that it will not be necessary to have alternating current laid on, and that the small current sufficient for the purpose can be obtained by means of an induction coil. In this case there will be no difficulty in having the exhibit next Thursday. I am writing to Prof. Thompson. Yours truly, Herbert Rix Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. |
