Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Richard Tetley Glazebrook, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 25 November 1896 |
Description | Harrison is not aware of any diagrams for Professor [William] Ramsay's paper other than the two curves sent with it to Professor [Arthur William] Rucker. Rucker brought the paper back to Harrison himself and Harrison could have given him this reply at once, if he had asked at the time.
The only referees reports received on last meeting's papers so far have been the two on Knott's paper. Professor [Arthur] Schuster's report Glazebrook has seen and Harrison encloses Professor Darwin's herewith [not attached]. The abstract had been sent to the printers before Harrison received Glazebrook's letter on this subject. It is set up but he has stopped any further progress with it and asked Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] to keep it off the list of papers to be read until after Glazebrook's next meeting.
Harrison wrote to Mr [Percival Spencer Umfreville] Pickering telling him the facts about Wildermann's paper, which are that an abstract, fairly full, appeared in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', to which Harrison gave him the reference, but that the full paper was archived. |
