| Description | On receipt of Foster's telegram yesterday, Harrison was in time to cut out [Charles Scott] Sherrington's paper, but he is not sure of being in time to substitute others for the postcard, although they shall be in time for the advertisements in the papers. The only two papers which seem ready for reading are Pickering and Assheton, as Foster will see by the enclosed list [not attached].
Regarding Foster's circular on Marshall Ward's paper, Harrison has taken it upon himself to vary the figure, which as estimated by West, Newman is £400 not £300.
Harrison has received today from the Colonial Office some more Tsetse Flies in pickle and a report on the fly in British Central Africa by Commissioner Sharpe. Asks if he should send these on to Foster.
Encloses a further letter from Professor Turner regarding the eclipse [not attached]. A letter on the same subject came yesterday from Dr [Andrew Ainslie] Common, addressed to the President [Joseph Lister], to whom Harrison sent it on. |
